The Beach

The Beach Castle has private beach acess to Longboat Key 12 mile long pristine and serene white sand beach. Not a more picturesque setting can be found, with dolphins playing in the surf, elegant waterfowl combing the beach area for fish, and manatees grazing in the Gulf of Mexico's warm, blue water.

The Bay

The Beach Castle has its own private dock that can accommodate boats up to 26' in length. Use of the dock is complimentary, but must be reserved at the time of making your unit reservation. The Beach Castle also provides kayaks and a rowboat for exploring Sarasota Bay's coastal waters and mangrove islands, which like the beach, are nature's playgrounds for dolphin, manatee and waterfowl.

Whether fishing from the dock, from the white sand beach, or from aboard a charter fishing boat, there is good fishing on Longboat Key, with redfish, snook, speckled trout, flounder, and grouper in abundance.

Sports

Parasailing, water skiing, scuba diving, charter fishing, sailing and bicycle rentals are all available through local vendors on the islands within minutes of the Beach Castle.

Joan M. Durante Park

The Joan M. Durante Park is a 32 acre wetland and coastal hammock forest located on Sarasota Bay within close walking distance of the Beach Castle. With native and exotic trees such as Live Oaks, Red Cedar, Sabal Palms, Banyon, Mango, and Green Buttonwood, Mahoe and Mangroves, it is an outstanding example of ecosystem restoration.

Shopping

Immediately to the north and within walking distance of the Beach Castle, is the Centre Shops with its variety of restaurants, art galleries, a dry cleaner, pharmacy and UPS store. Grocery shopping, banking and a pharmacy services are located to the south, just ten minutes away on Bay Isles Parkway. Slightly farther south is world famous St. Armands Circle with its many outstanding restaurants and boutique shops.
